  5. Operation of MAGic Deluxe follow all the same function as standard MAGic
  6. product except as follows:

  10. Installation Notes:
  11. -------------------------------------
  12. 1) Read the instruction on MAGic operation in the READ.ME file.
  13. 2) Install MAGic Deluxe or MAGic using the Install Program. 
  14.    You will be asked if you wish to install MAGIC or MAGic Deluxe.
  15. 3) Invoke MAGIC and hit <Left-Alt>+<Space> to activate.
  16. 4) Use Hot-Keys listed below to vary the Magnification.
  17. 5) Unload the MAGic program after the 20-minute demo by re-booting.
  18.    Unload a registered copy with MAGIC /U

  24. Note: 2x is the ONLY Magnification available for Graphics or other than 
  25.       80x25 Text Display Modes.

  35. Note: Like Standard MAGic, Deluxe will handle all Text & Graphics modes
  36.       in 2x Magnification Mode.

  50. Also, if you enter the Command-Mode pressing the <Number Pad-5> (Make sure
  51. Num-Lock is off), you may cycle back and forth through the bookmarks with the
  52. <,> and <.> keys respectively.

  55. Additional Command-Line Options:

  57. Note: You may have multiple items on each Command-Line. ie. MAGIC /MX /M4 /MT1

  59. /MT1 for Monitor Type 1 incl. Normal VGA, PS/1, PS/2 (alt-1 will mag. 1.2x)
  60. /Mn  Start in Magnified mode where n = same a <Alt> ie. 1,2,4,6,8,9
  61. /MX  Load in Mouse eXclusive Mode where the Mouse or Trackball will not be
  62.      sensed by any application program and used exclusively to Control MAGic.

  68. Magnification Locator Display:
  69. --------------------------------------
  70. <Left-Alt>+<Grey-Delete> Turn the Locator Display On/Off
  71. Notes: Just the <Grey-Delete> if you are in Command-Mode
  72.        The Locator will not operate in Stacked-Mode
  73.  
  74. The Locator is now active in type-thru mode as well and will show the region
  75. of the original display that is Magnified.

  77. You may change the Color of the Locator Box by going to Command-Mode by
  78. pressing the <Number Pad-5> (Make sure Num-Lock is off) and the press the
  79. <L> key. each depression will change the color.

  82. Stacked Mode Operation:
  83. ---------------------------------------
  84. <Left-Shift>+<Grey +> will toggle between Stacked and Box Modes in all except
  85. the 1.x magnifications. Essentially, each successive line becomes a contin-
  86. uation of the previous line. Note that the Locator Display is inactive in this
  87. mode.

  90. Panning for Screen Review:
  91. ----------------------------------------
  92. Enter the Command-Mode pressing the <Number Pad-5> (Make sure Num-Lock is off)
  93. and the press the <Tab> key to go forward by 1/2 the Magnified Area or press
  94. <Back-Tab> to go reverse by the same amount. You may then re-enter type-thru
  95. mode by pressing the <Enter> key. Note that in 2x & 4x Magnification that the
  96. Stacked-Mode (Pressing the <Left-Shift>+<Grey +> is easiest for reviewing the
  97. screen information.
